Green Financial Products

I'm looking at a methodology for establishing the carbon-offset required to make a financial product 'green'. Obviously the methodology has to be reasonably rigorous and I wondered if any of you have some information about how to do this.

My through process was to establish the carbon cost per dollar of GDP and apply that the the value of the product concerned. Then I thought - this might be a bit unfair, after all, financial services is likely to have a smaller carbon footprint than, say, transport, or power generation.

Any suggestions gratefully received. I will cheerfully share my findings with those that are helpful!

Dear Chatswood,

We might be able to help you getting some idea of the carbon footprint - we've done a lot of work in looking at a variety of businesses and industries for our B2B services, so if you are interested, please drop me a line,

Regards,

Ben
